Cervinia/Zermatt - The Matterhorn Ski/Ride Paradise 

February 18 - 27, 2022

 

The Matterhorn, an iconic symbol of the Swiss Alps, straddles the border between Switzerland & Italy. It is a huge pyramidal peak in the Monte Rosa area of the Pennine Alps, whose summit is 4,478 metres (14,692 ft) high, making it one of the highest summits in the Alps and Europe. The mountain overlooks the Swiss town of Zermatt in the canton of Valais to the north-east and the Italian towns of Breuil-Cervinia, and Valtournenche in the Aosta Valley to the south. 

The Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche Zermatt area is one of the largest in the Alps, with a varied “domaine skiable” beyond compare, which stretches through three valleys in two countries, Italy and Switzerland, from 3,883m (12,740 ft) of the Piccolo Cervino descending to the 1,524m (5000 ft) of Valtournenche.  Ski runs offering the chance to ski/ride all day without ever repeating the same run twice, alternating easier runs with those of increasing difficulty. Nothing is more exciting than the thrill of skiing/riding 2 world class mega resorts on the same day in 2 different countries. Have a relaxing Italian breakfast in the morning, ski/ride Cervinia (Italian side) of the mountain, then have a wonderful Swiss lunch in Switzerland (leave your passport in the hotel), and then ski/ride Zermatt - Swiss side of the mountain. Lodging -  3 Star hotel centrally located near the Valtournenche base of Cervinia. The hotel has recently done a complete renovation with Italian style wooden furnishings. You'll enjoy sweet and savory buffet breakfasts each morning as well as daily dinners featuring local specialties and Italian dishes. The complimentary hotel ski shuttle or public ski bus will drop you off at the nearby slopes. Ride the cable car to the top and ski down into Cervinia. Amenities include the hotel tavern with fireplace, free WIFI and free access to the local public pool.

Cancellation Policy: Reservations confirmed upon receipt of payment. All cancellations must be in writing. Telephone cancellations will not be honored. Participants may lose their space if payment is not made promptly and will incur late fees. No cancellation/refund without substitute replacement. Substitute replacements for any cancellation must be done 90 days before departure date. Participants cannot bring non-paying guests. No refunds/credit for no shows or any unused portion of your package.
